Feet with forefoot pain

Forefoot pain

Forefoot pain commonly refers to pain around the ‘ball of the foot’. You may be experiencing sharp pain, dull aching pain, swelling, burning or numbness. There are many structures in this area of the foot which can become injured, contributing to conditions such as; Stress fractures, Morton’s Neuroma,  Plantar plate tears, Bursitis, Arthritis, Tendonitis, Sesamoiditis & Capsulitis.

How can we help?

We start by conducting a comprehensive initial assessment, where we gather a thorough medical and injury history and then complete a physical exam and biomechanical assessment to help us to understand the causative factors and determine a diagnosis.

We will also watch you walk, perform functional movements, and assess your footwear.

At your initial consultation, our podiatrists will discuss the contributing factors to your injury and formulate a recovery plan that reduces loads in your injured tissues and allows them to heal. This may include padding and strapping, orthotics, footwear advice, manual therapy and an exercise program.
