Orthotic devices for foot and ankle conditions

Orthotic devices

Foot orthoses, commonly known as arch supports, can play an important role in the recovery plan of many people we see with foot, ankle and lower leg pain.

Orthotic devices are prescribed by Podiatrists to alter loads and forces that contribute to injury, and to improve the way you function and move.  Load management is an important component of any recovery plan, and orthotics can play a beneficial role.

We use innovative technology to assess your feet and the way you move, to provide you with orthotics devices that are comfortable, functional and fit well into your footwear. They can be made out of a variety of materials to ensure fit, comfort and suitability for your activities.

Foot Orthotics are often only one component of your recovery plan and are often used in conjunction with other treatment modalities including stretching, strengthening, functional exercises, foot mobilisation therapy, shockwave therapy and changes to footwear.

Health Insurance Rebates (Extras Covers with Podiatry) are available for Orthotic Devices when fitted by our Podiatrists.

Do you need orthotics as part of your recovery plan to alter loads and improve efficiency?
