Foot mobilisation and manipulation

Foot mobilisation and manipulation (FMT)

Our feet are engineering masterpieces made up of 26 bones, 30 joints and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments (in each foot!). We need our feet to move freely and adapt to various terrains to provide support and balance. If any of the little joints in our feet are not moving effectively, it can affect our whole body and stop us from doing the things we love to do.

Mobilisation therapy is a manual therapy (hands on treatment) used widely by health professionals including Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths and Chiropractors. Our team have completed post graduate study in FMT and regularly use the therapy as part of a comprehensive recovery plan in conjunction with other treatment modalities.

When would we use it?

FMT can be very effective for a number of foot and ankle conditions including Heel Pain (plantar fasciosis/fasciitis), Arthritis, Bunions, Posterior Tibialis Tendinopathy, Achilles Tendinopathy, Ankle instability, Sinus Tarsi syndrome, Sesamoiditis, Neuroma and Bursitis.

Let us help you keep your feet moving!
