CAM walkers and braces
Our Podiatrists are qualified to fit CAM Walkers (Moon Boots) and Braces as part of your recovery plan. CAM Walkers are used to immobilise the foot/ankle when periods of non-weightbearing or minimal weight-bearing are required to allow an injury to heal.
They can be used in the management of the following conditions: Stress Fractures (Navicular, Metatarsal, Calcaneus etc), Stress reactions, Bone Marrow Oedema, Non-displaced fractures, Post-surgery rehabilitation, severe sprains, ligament sprains/strains, Achilles Rupture, Heel pain, forefoot injuries.
Private Health Insurance Rebates are often available for CAM Walkers when fitted by our Podiatrists.
